Sandeep Dhuri is the author of Delta: Closing the Specification Gap and an independent researcher on specification discipline for AI-generated code in regulated systems, with two decades of enterprise software development experience across financial services, healthcare, and insurance.
The book draws on hands-on engineering across .NET and Java platforms and on independent study and experimentation with AI coding tools. It is written for the engineers who have to make AI-assisted code survive contact with a regulated production system — where a missing constraint is not a style nit but a reconciliation discrepancy, a compliance exposure, or a 3am page.
The Specification Frame and the Ten Laws are the author's own synthesis, drawn from the public literature on AI-assisted development and refined through independent experimentation rather than any employer's work or codebase. The sources that informed the book are cited throughout. Every prompt template was tested against working .NET 9, Java 21, Python 3.12, and TypeScript code before it appeared in the book.
In September 2026 he published a pre-registered, five-model paired evaluation of the Specification Frame (arXiv:2609.23270, cs.SE; Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22830262), with all 500 model outputs, checkers, scoring code, and the pre-registration public (dataset DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22598204). A definitions note, Purpose Custody and Purpose Skew (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23028583, 28 September 2026), fixes a vocabulary for tracing AI agent actions against a recorded purpose, and a research note re-reads the 500 outputs for hallucinated package names.
